MRS. ELECTA A. DALE

Long and Helpful Life in This Community is Ended

Electa A. Alley was born April 4, 1867, near Chelsea, Tama County, Iowa, living there with her parents until she was married. Her father died when she was eleven years old. She helped to bear the family burdens with the mother, who died in 1912. She joined the M.E. Church when she was fifteen years old and held to that belief until the end.

She was married to William Dale on December 28, 1884, and moved to his farm southwest of Grinnell near Westfield in March 1885, where she lived until her last sickness. She was taken to Iowa City to be treated by a specialist but the Great Master called her to Him. She was a good wife, a loving mother and loved her home and family and trusted God with all her heart. She was ever ready to administer to others in sickness or trouble and was loved by all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband; five sons, Floyd, of El Paso, Texas, Orville of Salina, Kan., George H. of Deep River, Iowa, and Bryan and Thomas of Grinnell, Iowa. Two sons, Brandon E. Dale and David, preceded her in death. She also leaves six brothers, Alex and Enos, of Huron, South Dakota, George of McAllen, Texas, Charles of Gueydam, Louisiana, William H. and John R. Alley of Grinnell, Iowa, and a host of friends and neighbors who join in sympathy with the sorrowing family.
