Mrs. Lovisa A. Barnes, an aged christian lady, died at her home in this place, last Friday afternoon. She had been sick for more than six weeks but her death was quite sudden at the last. The funeral was held at the home of the family on Friday afternoon, at 3 O'clock and was largely attended. The services were conducted by Elder Rodman of the Christian church, assisted by Rev. A. H. DeLong of the Methodist church. Mrs. Barnes was born in Madison Co., Ky, seventy four years ago. She came to this place and purchased a home in which she spend her declining years, about four years ago. She lived a quiet, consistent christian life and died peacefully.
