Born in Montgomery, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Martha (Staggert) Houser. She and her husband, Darryl F. Maurer, have spent 19 years together.
Bonnie was a homemaker and enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson, gardening, making hand made lace, sewing, and her faithful companion dog, Samson.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Kenneth, married to Terri (Rizzo) Abernatha of Williamsport, and Jeremy Abernatha of Loyalsock; a step daughter, Michelle Maurer of West Reading; a granddaughter, Violet Abernatha; a brother, Leroy, married to Doris (Harlan) Houser of S. Williamsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, Harold, Ezra, and Richard Houser.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 14 at 2 pm at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill with the family receiving friends from 1-2 pm. A private interment will be held at a later date at the Barbours Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17601.
