Foster was the daughter of Marx Claussen and Sarah Elizabeth Tucker. She married William Isaiah Gilmore 28 Jul 1891 at Kissee Mills, Taney Co., MO.

Foster M. Claussen was born July 21, 1874, in Taney county and departed this life July 22, 1937, aged 63 years. She was united in marriage to Isaiah Gilmore when 17 years old. To this union were born five children, three daughters and two sons, two of whom preceded her in death. Surviving are the husband, one son, John Gilmore of Rogersville, two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Daugherty and Mrs. Marie Huff, also of Rogersville, six grandchildren, three brothers, Fred Claussen of Colorado, Jerome and Claude of Taneyville, and two sisters, Mrs. Archie Triplett of Taneyville and Mrs. Eliza Adams of Sparta. Funeral services were held Friday, July 23, in the Linden Chapel by Rev. Roscoe Harding with burial in the Linden cemetery under the direction of the T.B. Chaffin Funeral Home of Ozark.
