John Sherman Thayer, died July 9, 1891 of consumption at the house of James Baker, aged 25 years, 3 months, and 3 days. A native of this township. He married Miss Anna Austin, at Craig Missouri in 1880. She died August 20th, 1890, leaving a baby now 13 months old. He and his wife were formerly members of the M. E. Church. Funeral services at the home of Jas. Baker, Friday, July 10, interment at Arlington Cemetery. Mr. Baker acknowledges the kindness of the neighbors, manifested during the sickness and death of his nephew.
