The death of W. A. Westmoreland occurred last Saturday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S. G. Boyd, on Spruce Street. The deceased, who was aged 86 years, came here from Madisonville, Texas, five years ago to make his home with Mrs. Boyd. Another daughter, Mrs. I. Rasco, came from Amarillo, Texas, to take the body back to the family burying ground there, leaving for that point on Sunday. The body was prepared for shipment by J. A. Mahoney, Inc. Funeral services will be held at Amarillo under the auspices of the Masonic lodge. (The Deming Headlight, Deming, NM, June 18, 1915
