HOMER DAVIS: VFW, RETIRED
Homer A. "Stinky" DAVIS, long-time bartender for Post 4262, Veterans of Foreign Wars, passed away in the Routt County Memorial Hospital on December 03, 1979. He was 65 years old at the time of his death.
Born in Wilborn, Montana, September 12, 1914, he was the son of Price S. and Flora M. Miller DAVIS. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Betty ARTON in Yuma, Arizona on May 15, 1945.
Surviving are his widow; three sisters, Elta FRANDSEN of Price, Utah, Freda JACOBS of Spokane, Washington and Burnetta TONER of Bremmerton, Washington; many nieces and nephews.
Services conducted by the Rev. Harold Raines, were held in the Root Mortuary Chapel at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 05. Interment was in the Steamboat Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chet COOPER, Charles HOGUE, Walter HEID, Lloyd HALLQUIST, Glenn FITZHUGH, and John WINOGRASKY. Honorary pallbearers included Jim CLAY, John MILLER, Glen FITZHUGH, Aldis KLUMKER, Bill HUNTER, Calvin KLINE and Lloyd McCLELLAND.
The family prefer memorial donations be given to the Routt County Memorial Hospital.
