Having actually gone "Missing" on the above date, he was not officially declared by the military as being dead until January 19, 1946.

Weslie served as a Technical Sergeant on B-25D #41-30252, 405th Bomber Squadron, 38th Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Lincoln County, New Mexico prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 24, 1941 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a miner and also as Single, without dependents.

Weslie was declared "Missing In Action" over the Admiralty Islands during the war.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
