John Haehl, a well known farmer living near Manilla, died Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock from the effects of the grippe. He was seventy-one years old and had lived on the farm where he died fifty years. He had no children, his wife surviving. The funeral will be Saturday morning at the German church in Union township, where the interment will be made. The cortege will leave the house at ten o'clock expecting to reach the church in an hour.
