Was the son of Roy Ray and Ilga Faye (Cox) McSorley. Grew up arounf Big Springs, Nebraska. Stepson to Doris McSorley as well as to Glen H. Buss. Grandson of Charles and Sarah (Ross) McSorley and James Howard and Rebecca (Plunkett) Cox. Was awared the Purple Heart and Bronze Heart. Was in the 22nd Infanty Regiment, 21st Philippine Division. Was a Second Lieutenant in the US Army. Died 10/24/1944 at sea.
