Cleo L. Roush, yeoman third class, was serving with the United States Navy long before the beginning of the war with Japan and Germany. He joined the colors in September, 1940. Roush was reported missing in March, 1942, and it was not until December, 1945, that the Navy Department declared him officially dead.
