Henry "Bill" served as a Second Lieutenant & Pilot on A-20G #42-54085, 389th Bomber Squadron, 312th Bomber Group, Light, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He resided in Galveston County, Texas prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on November 18, 1940, prior to the war, in Houston, Texas. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Office Clerk and also as Single, without dependents.
Henry was declared "Missing In Action" when his A-20G, which was one of nine A-20's that were on a mission that took off from Gusap Airfield No. 5 led by Major Wells on a strike mission against Alexishafen Airfield No. 1 Strip, crashed into a mountainside in the Finisterre Range due to bad weather during the war.
Two other A-20's on this mission also crashed in the same place for the same reason:

Henry's status was changed to "Killed In Action" once his remains were recovered.
He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
