Tabor City man Passed Suddenly
Daniel Franklin Spivey, Prominent Farmer and Former Postmaster, Succumbs to Heart Attack Daniel Franklin Spivey, 60, former postmaster at Tabor City and prominently connected as a farmer and business man of that town, died suddenly yesterday morning around 7:30 o'clock of a heart attack. Mr. Spivey, who had been ailling for sometime but had not been considered seriously ill, was seized Sunday morning early and died within a few minutes. Besides being a prominent farmer of the Tabor City area, Mr. Spivey had wide business connections in that vicinity. From 1904 to 1912 he served as postmaster in Tabor City. Funderal services are to be conducted this afternoon from the home by the reverend N.B. Johnson, pastor of the Tabor City Methodist Church, and burial will follow in the Norris Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. N.C. Spivey, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Young, of Tabor City, and Mrs. Wilbourne Lyon, of Lake City, S.C.; one son, Willard B. Spivey; two brothers, Joe Spivey, of Sanford, Fla., and Roland Spivey of Lake View, S.C., and one sister, Mrs. Colen Gore, of Tabor City. The deseased was a member of the Methodist Church.
