CANTRILL MISSING IN ACTION
Pfc William J. Cantrill, 22, is missing in action. His parents, Mrs. & Mrs. Roy Cantrill, Section Street, were informed yesterday by a telegraph from the United States War Department, that their son has been missing in France since July 19.
The last letter the Cantrill's received from their son was 3 months ago.
Pfc Cantrill, who served in the Infantry, joined the United States Army about 4 years ago. He enlisted at Fort Custer, lower Michigan & trained in the United States for 1½ years before he was sent to Iceland, where he served for 2 years. He then went to Ireland for 6 months & also served in England before going to France with the Invasion Forces.
Pfc Cantrill was born in Norway, Mich. & attended the city schools before he went to a CCC Camp.
