Young Woman Killed Nine Others Injured
Mabel Adair Meets Death in Journey to surprise her mother
North Platte (AP) Planning a surprise visit tohe mother in Detroit, Michigan, Miss Mabel Adair age 30 years old,of Colton, Calif., was killed in a collision Saturday. Nine others were injured, one seriously, but Physicians expect them to recover.
After the accident near Hershey Nebraska, spectators pulled a large nail from a tire on Miss Adair's automobile and supposed that a blowout had caused it to crash occupied by Leo Geddart and his compannions went to a Sutherland hospital. Miss Anna McSweeney was the most injuried.
With Miss Adair were Mr.& Mrs. Joseph Harris of Los Angeles who said she was planing the surprise visit to her mother. They suffered bruises and cuts and were brought to the hospital here. Athorities were trying to locate the mother whose address the harris'es did not recall.. Her body was taken to Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park
survivors include 5 brothers John Jacob Adair, Charles T. Adair, Jr, of Detroit, Jesse & Richard Adair of Santiago, Calif. William B. Adair, Georgetown, sisters, Margaret Miller Adair,(P.E.) Rawleigh ,N.C., Anna Belle Furtaw (Frank)of Detroit, Mary Eunice Adair, Lexington, Alice Francis Perkins (Walter).
