Standing behind FO Heath is 403380 FO James Alexander (Alec) Saint-Smith, of Sydney, NSW, his best man. FO Heath, of Croyden, NSW, enlisted in Sydney, NSW and was killed whilst on operations over France on 29 June 1944. FO Saint-Smith enlisted in Sydney, NSW, on 6 January 1941 and was killed whilst on operations over France on 29 June 1944.
Remembrance
He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in Croydon NSW, also his name is located at panel 123 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial .
