Robert "Bob" Walter Bednarski, 57 years, of Waterville, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 29, 2001. Born January 23, 1944, Bob worked for Ameritech, then Johnson Controls since 1971. Bob enjoyed playing summer golf with friends, picnicking with his family, and every 4th of July, he put on one heck of a fireworks show.
A life-long New York Yankee fan, he will be remembered as a man who enjoyed life and was loved by all who knew him. Active with St. Patrick's Parish of Providence, he was a past parish council member and was involved with its St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Dianne (Bick) Bednarski; daughters, Debbie (Paul) Heisel, Kathy (Chris) Wheeler, Dawn Bednarski, and Sarah Bednarski. His mother, Gertrude, and sisters, Linda (John) DiMaria and Rita (Fred) Gose; brother, William Bednarski, also survive along with his grandchildren, Rachel, Robbie, James, and Joseph Heisel. His father, Walter, and brother, David preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road, Friday, 2-9 p.m., where a Scripture service will be recited at 5:30 p.m. The funeral will begin in the mortuary Saturday at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick, Providence Church at 11 a.m. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Providence. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Sisters of Notre Dame, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, or the charity of the donor's choice.
