After an illness of several weeks George W Mapes died Thursday March 17 at the sanitarium at Howell, MI, death being due to tuberculosis. Deceased was 27 years old and leaves his wife and 3 small children. He is also survived by his sister Mrs Nate Boggs and 3 brothers, Paul, John & Clare and his father. The remains were brought her Saturday, March 19 and the funeral was held Sunday, March 29 from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the pastor officiating, and the internment in the Midland Cemetery.
