Edison had trained with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and was posted to duty at the Justice Building in Rockcliffe, Ontario. He enlisted in Rockcliffe, Ontario on Nov 16, 1939 and joined the Provost Corps, going overseas with the First Canadian Contingent in Dec 1939


Son of Angus and Florence Jean Cameron, of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.


His brother, Gordon Agnus Cameron, was also killed in action.
