She had been ill for several weeks.
Mrs. Parks was born to Thomas and Daisy (Coy) Guilford, May 14, 1913 in Keytesville. She was married April 12, 1952 to Thomas J. Parks. She is survived by one son, Gary Parks, Keytesville and a sister, Ruth E. Pearman, also of Keytesville. Also two nieces and one nephew survives her.
Her Husband and parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Parks lived in Chariton County throughout her lifetime as a housewife and was a member of the Elm Ridge Baptist Church.
The funeral was held March 17 at 1:30p.m. at the Asbury Church. Rev. Charles Jackson directed the services. Interment was a the Asbury Cemetery. Marsha Locke was the vocalist and Marva Davis was the organist.
Pallbearers were Paul Quick, David Pearman, Bobby Guilford, Floyd Guilford, Bill Parks, and George Hanke.
