BURTON – On Nov. 16th. In the Dardanelles. Pte. G. H. Burton, of the Tenters, Holbeach, killed in action, aged 26 years. His mother, brother, and Miss Ada Tory beg to return Thanks for the many kind expressions of sympathy for them in their bereavement,
We never knew what pains he bore
We did not see him die
We only know he passed away
And could not say good-bye
We think of him in silence
His home we oft recall
But only left to answer
His photo on the wall.
