Giles T Roberts owned a plantation which was located near Bethel Baptist Church, Clayton County, Georgia approximatedly 2 miles southwest of Jonesboro, Georgia.
He donated the land on which the orginal Bethel Baptist Church was constructed as well as the land on which a school building was also constructed on the opposite side of the road from the church, at the corner of Bethel Road and Taylor Road. (Bethel Road is now known as Flint River Road)
Many of the family members were buried on the plantation property. The cemetery is located off Webb Road, Riverdale, GA,
