Mr. Handler was born in Connecticut in 1923 to David and Celia Handler. He enlisted into the Air Corps on Dec. 9, 1942, and served with the 550th Bomber Squadron, 355th. He died on March 23, 1944, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was the brother of Morris Handler, Minnie Wolf, Libby Fried, Anna Robin and Rose Halprin.
