2nd Lt Roger J Brague enlisted in the US Air Corps in San Francisco, California on April 27, 1942. He was born in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California and was living in Riverside county, California. He was married to Kathryn L. Brague.

He was on the crew of the B-24J Liberator #44-40088 "Katie Jean" during a mission to bomb the marshaling yard at Brunswick, Germany. As they were approaching their target, they were caught without fighter protection and were attacked by about 40 German fighters. They were shot down with six men of the crew killed.
