The Baylor Bulletin, Ex-Student's Directory of 1920, states that Oscar Cullam Key earned his A.B. from Baylor University in 1915. He was a philomathesian and library assistant while at school.

He is listed as "Oscar Cullman Key" on page 124 in the book, "Key and Allied Families": "Oscar Cullman, 1st Lieut., Texas Co., Killed in action, Oct.[sic] 1918, in France."

Oscar Key was married to Ms. Ora Best, Baylor University Graduate, 1914. According to the Baylor Bulletin, 1920, she lived in El Paso.

KEY, OSCAR CULLMAN. 25, McKinney, Baylor University, was in Medical College at Galveston, Texas, at the time of enlistment. US Army, 2nd Lt. Co. C. 359th Inf. 90th Div. Was commanding a Machine Gun company. While leading his men against a fortified German machine-gun bunker the enemy fire became so intense all members of his squad were killed and never seen again.KIA 26 Sept. 1918 at Meuse-Argonne, France. Listed on the “Tablets of the Missing” at St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France.
