Arthur E. Ash, age 91, of Stone Mountain, (Gwinnett County) Georgia went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, November 13.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy C. Ash, and is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Martha Jane and Ronnie Nunnally of Lilburn, Carolyn and Chris Whitlow of Loganville, grandchildren: Ray Henry of Lilburn, Karen Henderson of Dacula, Donna Strebe of Hilton Head, Jeff Smith of Loganville, Mark Nunnally of Braselton and 11 great grandchildren.

He served his country during WWII in the Phillipines with the US Army and was awarded the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars.

He retired from MARTA after thirty three years service. He was a member of Mountain Park First Baptist Church and also served on the Board of Regents at Liberty University. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 o'clock PM, Sunday, November 15 at Mountain Park First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Woodall and Dr. Bill Blanchard officiating. Intermet will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville.
