Harry Branton

Harry Branton, 82, of 409 N. Schanck Ave., Pen Argyl, died yesterday in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.
Mr. Branton had retired four years ago as a custodian of the First National Bank of Pen Argyl.
He formerly was employed as a Slater for the Stephens Jackson Co., Pen Argyl.
Born in Cornwall England, he was the son of the late John and Ann Oaten Branton. He was a member of the Bethany Evangelical United Brethren Church.
He also was a member of the Men's Bible Class and the Brotherhood of the church and Court Hope 40, Foresters Lodge, Pen Argyl.
Survivors include his widow, Florence Hendershot Branton; two daughters, Hilda, wife of James Nixon, Easton, and Mrs. Pearl Eden, Bangor; two sons, Nelson S., Allentown and Alfred M., Philadelphia; a brother, Thomas, Pen Argyl; six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Swoyer Funeral Home, Pen Argyl.

The funeral of Harry Branton, 82, of 409 N. Schank Ave., Pen Argyl, was held yesterday afternoon at the Swoyer Funeral Home, Pen Argyl. Mr. Branton died Sunday in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.
Rev. Warren P. Mohr of Betheny Evangelical United Brethren Church, Pen Argyl, officiated. Internmanet was in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl. The pallbearers were Dr. Leon Branton, Robert and Donald Nixon, Dale Eden and Carl and Ralph Hendershot.
