MURRAY - Funeral services for Ira Jessop Taylor, 75, of 4843 Wasatch St., Murray, who died of heart failure Wednesday, April 2, 1975 in a Salt Lake hospital, will be Saturday at noon in the Murray First Ward Chapel, 184 Vine St.
Mr. Taylor was the father of Ira Jay Taylor, American Fork.
He was born July 23, 1899 in Preston, Ida., to J. Greene and Alice Jessop Taylor. He married Alice Winger on Sept. 4, 1918 in the Logan LDS Temple, and she died May 16, 1965. He married Leah Hortin on June 28, 1966 in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Taylor was manager and owner of Ira J. Taylor Lighting Protection Co. and he had owned and managed grocery stores in Murray and American Fork.
Survivors include his widow; a son and three daughters, Ira Jay Taylor, American Fork; Mrs. Dale (Maxine) Jensen and Mrs. Frank (Alice) Engstrum, both of Midvale; and Mrs. Doran (Jackie) Eustance, Murray; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Gordon (Jean) Reynolds, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ray (Marilyn) McMillan and Mrs. Calvin (Ann) Stringham, both of Murray; and Mrs. Calvin (Joan) Smoot, Farmington, Davis County; 42 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ed (Alice) Talbot Preston, and Mrs. Leland (Marvel) Christensen, Ogden.
Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., Murray, tonight from 6 to 8 o'clock and Saturday from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in Murray City Cemetery.
