Robert preferred the name Charles Robert McPherson however he was born Robert Charles. His parents called him Bob. "Charles" was in the Army and died in Italy as a Staff Sergeant in 1943. He is buried in Plot 1, Row 11, Grave 62, of the BR Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy. I am a great grand niece and plan to go to his grave.
