Top Turret Gunner on B-17G Flying Fortress #42-97494 "Hot Rock" that was last seen near Esbjerg, Denmark in a steep dive on a mission to Aalbborg airfield, Denmark. Plane apparently crashed into the North Sea. Missing Air Crew Report #2758.
