Son of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Barmore. Lauren was a graduate of the Placer Union High School in Auburn and worked at a sawmill in the area. He enlisted in the US Army on March 26, 1941 at Sacramento and was sent overseas on June 15, 1944. He was attached to Company I of the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division. While part of the ground invasion of Germany, he was killed in action. Lauren was survived by his mother, one brother, and three sisters. He was engaged to be married to Miss Marilyn Bridenbecker of Pasadena.
