He was born in Bentleyville, Jan. 25, 1894, the son of William and Bessie Wilkens Gibson.
He moved from Elrama to Monongahela in 1940 and was retired as a conductor on the Pennsylvania railroad.
He was a member of the Monongahela Posts of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, and the Loyal Order of Moose, Monongahela.
He was a veteran of World War I and belonged to Friendship Barracks of Monongahela.
His wife, Bess Gibson, died Jan. 4, 1965.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hector (Dorothy) Frola of Monongahela, two sons, Raymond T. Gibson Jr. of Elizabeth, Jack of Monongahela, one brother, Laurie Gibson of Charleroi, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the L. M. Frye funeral home, Monongahela, after noon tomorrow.
