Arthur was a dairy farmer from Rappville, NSW, Australia.

He was with the 45th Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force.

He won the Military Medal for conspicuous gallantry in an attack on an enemy strong point and trenches at Gueudecourt on 21st Feb. 1917.

He was killed in action on 2nd April 1918, Dernancourt, France.

His Brother, Stanley Bailey (my Grandfather), also fought in France, in the 26th Battalion. They had a photo taken together in 1917, somewhere in France.
