Son of the late George Auchinachie & Elizabeth Ann (nee Peables) Auchinachie of 569 Nicholson Street, North Carlton, Vic. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 17 August 1914 and embarked from Melbourne for active service abroad on 19 October 1914 per HMAT "Hororata" (A20) He died of wounds received in action at the 88th Field Ambulance, "W" Beach, Gallipolli Peninsular. aged 21 years.
