Edgar Lee Adams was a Seaman Second Class in the United States Naval Reserve, assigned to the Carrier USS Liscome Bay (CVE-56).

Edgar was Killed in Action when the ship was sunk by a Japanese sub I-175, on Nov. 24, 1943, and he is honored with the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Expeditionary Medal, American Campaign Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.
