Elizabeth Ann Winget was born in Green county, Ohio, October 3, 1836. She was the eighth child in a family of ten children. At nine years of age she moved with her parents to Baraboo, Wisconsin and at the age of 14 she moved with them to Minnesota. At the age of 17 she joined the Methodist Episcopal Church and remained a faithful Christian all her life. She attended the Minnesota State Normal and taught school until she married James Finch, October 1, 1861.To this union were born three children, Claire E. Daughhette, of Oakdale, Neb.; Rena Jamison and George Finch, both of Glasco. Soon after the death of her husband which occurred at Abilene, February 17, 1915, she came to Glasco and made her home. After an illness of several months she passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rena Jamison, at 9:30 A.M. March 6, aged 81 years, 9 months and 3 days. She leaves to mourn her loss 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
