Wanda Lee McCoy Pingley, age 61, of Front Royal, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Wanda was born in Page County in February 11, 1949, a daughter of the late Rufus David and Margaret Lee Seal McCoy. She had been employed at IEC in Strasburg, was a 1968 graduate of Warren County High School and a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jack Pingley; her son, Chris Pingley and fiancé Amber Henry of Front Royal; her daughter, Amy Sine and husband Richard of Strasburg; her sisters, Phyllis North of Front Royal, Eva Gwinn and husband Jack of Front Royal, and Judy Presgraves and husband Roger of Boyce; her grandson, Mason Sine; her step-grandsons, Joshua and Jared Sine; her step-granddaughter, Izabella Vaught; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Marlow Heights Baptist Church, 517 Braxton Road, Front Royal, VA 22630 or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.
