Emma Francis (England) Atkison died April 22, 1938 in Van Wert, OH She was born Oct 10, 1852 in Vinton County, OH the daughter of the late Joseph RWS England and Nancy (Anderson) England.
Many years a resident of Van Wert, Mrs. Atkison, had traveled by covered wagon with her family to Kansas and Missouri and back to Ohio, one of the last pioneers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Atkison and daughters, Nancy Ethel Atkison, Minnie Dush, and son William Atkison, and sisters, Hester Leach, Lavina Ansel, Lucinda Allen, Arminda Edwards and Hattie England. Left to mourn her passing are daughters, Viola Morgan, Van Wert, Ida Pease, St Johns, MI, Mabel McCarthy, Pontiac, MI, sons Dal and George Atkison, Fort Wayne, IN and Homer Atkison, Van Wert, brothers Joseph and Fred England, MO and William England, WA and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services in charge of Gamble & Alspach, services conducted by Rev Paul Niswander, pastor of Second M.E. church.
Burial Stephenson Cemetery, Baldwin, Allen Co., IN.
