Maxine was born March 28, 1925, at Gate, Okla., the daughter of Charlie and Willie Eells. The family moved to Idaho in 1936. Maxine married Glen Young on June 23, 1945. They farmed in the Jump Creek area west of Marsing and later moved to Middleton in 1965 where she has since resided. Glen passed away May 25, 1995.
Maxine devoted her life to her grandchildren. She was a member of the Followers of Christ Church.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tim Eells; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Shiela Rae Young; daughter, Shirley Edwards; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Sherry Young, all of Middleton; sisters, Gertrude Gibson and Avis Combs of Caldwell and Helen Morris of Middleton; 19 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen, sister, Millie Sevy, brother, Bill Eells, sons-in-law, Wayne Beagley and Ned Edwards, daughter, Patsy Young and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Dakan Funeral Chapel, S. Kimball Ave., in Caldwell from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
