Carrie L., eldest daughter of D. L. and M. E. Bassett, died at Iola, Kansas, Friday, July 16, 1880 of typhoid fever at age 17. The funeral services were delayed until Monday evening to await the arrival of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Warner of Ohio. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Williamson. The stricken relatives have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.
