Born in the Cherokee Nation, Oklahoma Indian Territory in an area which is included in present day Mayes county. Dottie married James Loamer Cloud on 5 August, 1916 in Locust Grove.
Their children were Joel Martin, Virginia Elsa, Ernest Ed, Thomas Louis, and James Robert. Thomas (Tommy) was killed in action on Iwo Jima during this epic WWII battle. He was buried in the San Gorgonio Memorial Park, Riverside County, CA.
Wynona or Dottie as she was commonly called was the daughter of Robert Oscar and Harriet Irene Bangs Bangs Satterfield. She was named after one of her mother's family.
Wynona's siblings were Della Mae (Robinson), Jessie Neva (Burgess), William Rex Satterfield, Ernest Clayton Satterfield, and Lee Robert Satterfield. Except for Della Mae, each of the family members moved to Banning, CA in the 1920's.
