Carrie B. McCarty Priddy , the daughter of Reuben McCarty and Sarah ( Sallie ) Lamb McCarty , was born in 1873 in Lee County , Mississippi . Her siblings were J. Noah McCarty , Mary McCarty , and Dennis McCarty who later became known as William Dee McCarty . Her paternal grandfather was Dennis McCarty who was born in 1810 in South Carolina . While Carrie was a child her father Reuben McCarty died and later her mother listed as Mrs. S. E McCarty married William Priddy . Carrie McCarty married J. F. Priddy on Dec. 18 , 1886 in Lee County , Ms. Carrie and James F. Priddy had these children : Joe Merle , Grady , William , Howard D. , John K. , Ila , Gertrude , Tommy , Mittie Lou , Carl C. ( Jack ) , and Mildred E. Priddy . Carrie B. McCarty Priddy died in 1934 in Lee County , Ms.
