PENDLETON - Burton Joseph "Bert" Choske, 67, of Pendleton died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at his home. No services have been scheduled at this time.
Mr. Choske was born July 24, 1943, in Polk County, Wis.., to Joseph and Merle (Peterson) Choske. He graduated from high school in Spangler, Wash., in 1961. He married Sharon Kay Reaves in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; they divorced in 1985. He married Betty Wilkinson in 1988 in Astoria.
He lived in Payette, Idaho, in 1974 and then lived and worked in Alaska for 10 years before moving to Pendleton in 1991.
Mr. Choske is survived by his wife, Betty Choske of Pendleton; daughter Katrina White of Nampa, Idaho; son Kenneth Choske of Redmond; stepsons Greg and Bob Sullivan, both of Pendleton, and Gary Sullivan of Bremerton, Wash.; sisters Rayola Hanna of Salem and Loranne Grace of Collegedale, Tenn.; mother Merle Choske of Collegedale; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Choske.
