There is no headstone and Pavilion Township Cemetery Records do not have him or his wife recorded. The reason I have them listed here is because the plot that R.A. Hawkins is in is listed as vacant except for him. They are not sure that all the OLD records were properly recorded. Also they are listed in the 1870 census as living with Michael & Cordelia (Hawkins) Taylor (their daughter) in Pavilion Township. I found them in the 1861 census living in Brome County, Quebec, Canada, Birthplace of Michael Taylor, and there was an Albert Hawkins listed so I assume this R.A. Hawkins is him and is their son. I'm sure that they did not come to Michigan until after 1863 because my Great Grandmother Anis (Taylor) Coburn was born December of 1862 in South Bolton, Brome Co., Quebec, Canada and her brother Scott O. Taylor was born in 1867 in Pavilion Twp., Kalamazoo Co., Michigan. - - - James R. Lemon
