TAAFFE, JOHN FRANCIS, 93, of Tampa, died Monday (Oct. 19, 1998) at home. Born in New York City, he came here in 1946 from Olympia, Wash. He was a real estate appraiser and was president of John Taaffe Real Estate. He was a member of Hillsborough Lodge No. 25 F&AM, where he was past master in 1961. He was a member of Scottish Rite, Egypt Shrine Temple and American Lodge Post No. 5. He was a member of the American Society of Appraisers, Greater Tampa Board of Realtors, Association of Governmental Appraisers and Society of Automotive Engineers. He served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include three sons, Robert L, Brandon, Donald R, St Petersburg, and John S., Tampa; a brother, Robert Joseph, Orlando; a sister, Eileen Ficarra, Mobile, Ala.; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
