POOLE, Jennie age 97, of Dayton, Ohio, passed peacefully to be with The Lord on July 28, 2010 after a brief illness. She was born in Yanceyville, North Carolina on January 25, 1913 to Isaac and Mary Fannie Jeffers. Jennie was a faithful member of St. Benedict The Moor Catholic Church for 41 years, where she served with The Ladies of Peter Claver, The Altar and Rosary Society and The Leisure Club. Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: Willie Poole, daughter: Sadie, Son: Walter, Grandson: Luther (Spunky). Brothers: Vincent, William, Isaac, Jr. Sisters: Georgia and Mattie. She leaves to mourn: Beloved daughter: Mary Karr, Sons: Willie Jr. (Tina), and Rickey, 10 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild. Also the Lowery family, especially her buddy Marva. Special daughter: Alice O. Special friends: Sister Virginia, Amanda and Susie. Special neighbors: Mr. Christian and The Boddie Family, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 6, 2010 at St. Benedict The Moor Catholic Church, 519 Liscum Drive at State Rt. 35. Father Francis Tandoh, officiating. A special Service with the Knights and Ladies of Peter Claver will be held at 9:45 AM. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Woodland Cemetery. Ceremonies entrusted to McLin Funeral Home, Inc., 2801 N. Gettysburg Ave.
