Gladys Olene Burch, age 101, of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 2, 2010.

She was born on March 1, 1909 in Celina, Texas, to Lawrence and Julia (Philips) Compton.

Gladys married Steward A. Burch (who preceded her in death) on August 24, 1927 in Gunter, Texas.

She worked for Haggar pants as a seamstress for many years. Gladys was a member of College Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by grandchildren, Rhonda Tanner of Liberty, TX, Mike Burch of Garland, TX, Larry Burch of Edmond, OK, and Philip Burch of Gordonville, TX; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Laverne Kinney and husband Pete, of Canton, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

Gladys was preceded in death by her, parents; husband; sons, Charles Burch and Wallace Burch; sisters, Addie Mae Wilson, Billie Miller, Nita Adams; and granddaughter, Barbara Westerman.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.

Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book prior to the services.

The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to service.
