LON L. ASHCRAFT, CLERK COUNTY COURT
A Capable Official and a Good Business Person
In 1902 the people of Jasper county elected Lon L. Ashcraft county clerk. Mr. Ashcraft had been known in this county since 1876 when he moved to Webb City. The work of the office under his management has been kept up to date and thoroughly in order.
Mr. Ashcraft married in October of 1897 Miss Carrie, daughter of J. B. Overstreet of Webb City, and she is now his valued and capable assistant.
He is a Mason of Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite, a larger stockholder in the Double-Quick and other mining companies, an alumnus of Drury College and with his wife attends the Presbyterian church.
