Martha has a rather complicated story. She initially married Joseph Salley in Arkansas in 1876 and had three children before Joseph died in 1882. She then married Joseph Freeland, a widower with two sons. He had previously married Eudora Oglivie (who was the sister of the wife of her future husband). Joe Freeland died in 1887 and Martha then married Robert Dysart Bills who was a widower when Mary Ogilvie died in 1883 leaving him with 8 children. Martha had her three children, plus Joe Freeland's two son's when they married so that was 13 children. She and Robert proceeded to have 5 more children together for a total of 18!
