Matthew Ackerman, 15, died suddenly on Monday, January 4, 2010 at his home in Castaic, CA.
Matthew was born on January 7, 1994 in Mission Hills, CA and lived in Castaic for 10 years. He was a sophmore at West Ranch High School. Matthew loved dirtbike riding, his family and friends. He loved baseball and he had dreams of becoming a pro baseball player. Camping had become a highlight for Matthew and his family too.
Matthew is survived by his father and stepmother, Neil and Mary Ackerman; his sisters, Katelyn Ackerman and McKenna Ackerman all of Castaic and his brother, Nicholas Ackerman of Wilsonville, OR. His mother, Elizabeth Ackerman precedes Matthew in death.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Eternal Valley Mortuary with funeral services on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at The Santa Clarita United Methodist Church, 26640 Bouquet Cyn. Rd., Santa Clarita, CA 91350. Arrangements under the direction of Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, Newhall, CA.
